• You can also use baking soda to get rid of the nasty carpet smell. Sprinkle baking soda on your carpet and leave it overnight. Then, the following morning use vacuum cleaners to suck it out of the carpet. The baking soda will help absorb all of the unpleasant smell and will leave your carpet clean and odorless.
