3 Easy Labor Day Recipes

Posted on: August 30, 2017

These Labor Day recipes are super easy…and guaranteed to make your Celebration Spectacular!  Here’s what you’ll need:

1 large box of banana cream instant pudding

1 container Cool Whip thawed

1 bar cream cheese softened

2 cups of milk

Fruit of your choice for the layers…such as kiwi, strawberries, grapes, pineapple, mandarin oranges, and a banana to be added a time of serving on top.  Whipped cream for topping

In a large bowl, combine the banana cream pudding, milk, cream cheese, cool whip, and mix until creamy and thick.  In a glass or trifle bowl, add a layer of fruit on the bottom followed by a layer of pudding mixture, then add another layer of fruit, then pudding.  Continue to layer all the way up to the top. Make sure that the fruit is well drained and cut up.

Once it’s layered, add dollups of whipped cream on the top, slice bananas to place on top of the whipped cream Add one or two large strawberries to the center.  Once you’ve added the bananas, serve immediately. If making ahead of time, save the bananas and whipped cream to add on top when you are ready to serve.

1 block cream cheese softened

1 Cup Cocktail Sauce

1 lb. Lump Crab Meat

Old Bay Seasoning

Spread cream cheese on a platter or pizza pan.  Spread the cocktail sauce on top of the cream cheese. Crumble the crab over the cocktail sauce layer.  Sprinkle with Old Bay.  Serve with your favorite crackers.  Make ahead and refrigerate until ready to serve.

1 10 oz. bag Chili Cheese Fritos

2 15 oz. canned Corn, drained well

1 Cup Green Pepper, finely diced

1 Cup Red Onion, finely diced

2/3 Cup Sour Cream

2/3 Cup Mayonnaise

8 oz. Shredded Cheese (About 2 Cups)

Pinch of Salt

½ Cup Chopped Cilantro (optional)

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except for the Fritos and Cilantro. Place in refrigerator until ready to serve.  When ready to serve add the Fritos and Cilantro (if desired).  Mix Well

The Fritos will keep their crunch for approximately 2-3 hours. Any variety of canned corn works well such as Mexi Blends.
