The Bowles family founded CLEAN Choice Carpet Care Systems in September 1989. Father and sons were already working in the carpet cleaning industry when they quickly realized that most carpet cleaning companies did not provide quality service and did not seem to know much about cleaning or odor control. In addition to quality service, we immersed ourselves in education. We learned everything we could about carpet and fabric cleaning systems, odor control methods, eco-friendly non-toxic cleaning products, and state-of the-art equipment. As a result, we began to solve many difficult cleaning and odor related problems for leading carpet manufacturers', homeowners, realtors, and businesses. Most other carpet cleaners did not know how to solve these problems, so this created a niche for CLEAN Choice.
Over the past 23 years the Bowles family has continued to build the company, adding important certifications and designations along the way. Since that time CLEAN Choice has steadily grown from a small home based operation to one of the most trusted, certified cleaning companies in Maryland. The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) has served as the Industry Guardian for the cleaning, inspection and restoration service industries for more than 30 years. As a non-profit certification organization, the IICRC helps ensure that you have access to trusted and trained cleaning professionals by establishing and monitoring certification programs and standards for these industries.
A IICRC certified company not only must pass annual written examinations, but also demonstrate a commitment to ongoing employee training, carry comprehensive insurance, be licensed, and has pledged to perform all services with skill, honesty, and integrity in order to provide and maintain the highest standards of professional conduct possible.
